I was a Livejournal user - I liked how it was a community within a community. And the options to customize my journal were limitless. I was actually able to sell some of my old junk through LJ communities I subscribed to which is why it's special for me. I too love blogs- it's what I read every day aside from the NY Times and WSJ. There's something of a community with the bloggers you comment and share links with. A lot of my friends were on Xanga – it was kinda cool because you could give props and stuff like that.

Whoever owned Xanga didn't sell it in its prime days and now is stuck with a lower tier website that no one wants to buy now. Well maybe someone but I know I wouldn't. I love reading blogs as well.
