8 random facts about me

I’ve seen this float all over the blogosphere! I was finally tagged yesterday by Net Business Blog, whoo hoo! haha

First, here are the rules:

1. Each player must post these rules first.
2. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.

And here are 8 things you may not have known about me:

1. I originally started my blog in May of 2006 at Young Money Blog.com, but had to shut down the site due to copyright issues, boo! I really liked the domain and built a crap load of content for the site.
2. During my graduation two months ago, I was given the opportunity to sit on stage in front of the entire college of Business. I looked like a dork haha!
3. I love to shop for bargains and will usually not buy things if it isn’t reduced or on sale. I visit BensBargains.net everyday. I also prefer discount chains like TJ Maxx and Marshall’s over the mall.
4. I am a University of Florida Hall of Famer, my picture is on the third floor of the Reitz Union along with the graduating class of 2007.
5. I am somewhat of an activist for Asian American issues. In this capacity, I’ve attended ECAASU for 5 consecutive years and was involved in the creation of SERCAAL.
6. I once flew on one of the State of Florida’s private jets to attend a meeting in the morning, and returned the same afternoon.
7. I was in a 7 person meeting with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich at the Center for Health Transformation in Washington DC. I witnessed a discussion about the future of US Health care among some hospital CEOs.
8. I seriously considered a career in government for quite some time. But opted for a career in business/entrepreneurship for the satisfaction of seeing immediate results from my hard work. Government moved a little too slow for me and the bureaucracy was suffocating my creativity.
